Visit to the Winery Museum
and lunch at the porch of the cellar
The experience will be divided into 2 parts. The first of which will be the visit to our Winery Museum and the second part of a lunch on the porch of the cellar married by some of our selected wines and Km 0 local products.
Bodegas Valdelana was awarded as the best Spanish winery in “Art and Culture” for the third time. Our Winery Museum is located in our 15th and 16th century underground cellars. We begin by visiting the Ethnographic Museum, where we explore the influence of every ancient civilization in the region. Then, we visit the Wine Museum, where our visitors will be able to discover the tools and machines employed to work the fields and make wine in the 19th century. The tour continues in a chapel from 1583 and our wine tasting room, where an endless vineyard grows. Finally, we go up to the “Tunnel of senses”, where we perceive colour, aromas and flavours in wine. It is a great opportunity to learn more about a family cellar from a cultural and historical point of view. It leaves no one indifferent.
After the guided tour, we will prepare an informal lunch made up of regional products, such as chorizo and salchichón (cured spicy sausage) produced in La Rioja, Idiázabal cheese, Spanish omelette, pâté made in Elciego... The activity takes place in the porch of the building.
