Seda de Oro Reserva 2016, made by Juan Valdelana, won gold as the best Tempranillo in the world at the AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge. This wine comes from the family\u2019s oldest vineyards, planted by our great-great-grandparents, which survived phylloxera and have been cared for by four generations of Valdelana winegrowers. AWC Vienna is one of the world\u2019s most prestigious wine competitions. Its importance comes not only from its long history, but also from the large number of entries and strict blind-tasting rules. The 2020 competition received 11,232 wines from 1,510 producers in 41 countries.
