2. Discover some of the most important wineries in Spain.
In addition to a top quality wine, here are some of the most interesting wineries on the national scene. Marqués del Riscal and Ysios are some of the best known, but in this small space there are more than 300. In fact, did you know that Villanueva de Álava is the town with more wineries per inhabitant in the world?
3. Visit some of the most beautiful villages in Spain.
Almost any of the 15 municipalities that make up the region (and 23 population centers) have something to offer. Laguardia, for example, is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. There are also Labastida, Labraza or Elciego! How not to talk about our beautiful town?

5. Travel through time.
Did you know that Rioja Alavesa has been inhabited for almost 5000 years? The type of land, the climate, the importance of the Ebro River and many other factors have made this region interesting for our ancestors. In fact, here it is possible to visit prehistoric dolmens like La Chabola de la Hechicera or some ancient millenary necropolis. You can do part of this trip to history without leaving our 16th-century winery. Here we have enabled an ethnological museum that contains remains from all the ages that preceded us. Until the Jurassic!
6. Walk (or drive) between vineyards.
It is estimated that in our region there are more than 13,000 hectares of vineyards, so the possibilities of enjoying them are endless. 7. Feel the four seasons.
It may sound topical, but it’s always a good time to visit Rioja Alavesa. The blossoming almond trees of spring, the good weather and the excellent tourist offer of summer, the grape harvest and the colors of autumn and the frost on the vineyards in winter. 8. Visit two very interesting cities.
At the beginning of this post, we commented that Rioja Alavesa is in the middle between Logroño and Vitoria, two very interesting cities. So if you come to do tourism here, do not miss the opportunity to have some good tapas on Laurel Street in Logroño or take a walk around the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca in Vitoria. And much more.
9. Taste excellent cuisine.
If in La Rioja the food is wonderful and in Álava too: how do you think you are going to eat in Rioja Alavesa? Super! And it is that the best of both cuisines coexists in our region, so you can enjoy a menu of great quality with local products in almost any restaurant.
